Racin' Preview 2003 - PASS / Wiscasset Raceway / Dawg Display

The 15th Annual Northeast Motorsports Expo is the traditional kickoff to the 2003 central Maine racing season, and the Pro All Stars Series was well represented when the doors open on Friday evening at the Augusta Civic Center. 2002 Pro All Stars Series Champion Ben Rowe was on hand Friday and Saturday to meet and greet his fans, alongside his 2002 championship winning Mechanical Services/Superior Embroidery/Hi-Tech Racing 00 Monte Carlo. Joining Rowe were the 2001 and 2002 Northern Race Tires Rookie Challenge winners, Richie Dearborn and Johnny Clark.

2003 PASS schedules and the latest news on the $195,850.00 Big Dawg Challenge were available along with an up-to- date list of lap sponsors for this record-breaking 400-lap event, scheduled for October 11 and 12 at Wiscasset Raceway. The Pro All Stars Series kicks off it's 2003 campaign with 150 green flag laps at Wiscasset Raceway on Saturday April 19th.

Portland, ME - November 30, 2002)   A group of PASS and Busch North drivers got a jump on the 2003 racing season with an appearance at the VIP Auto Parts/Wright Express sponsored Portland Pirates AHL hockey game.

The evening started with a two-hour autographs session on the concourse level of the Cumberland County Civic Center with Carey Heath, Kip Stockwell, Tracy Gordon, Mike Rowe, Andy Santerre, Joe Bessey, Travis Benjamin, Jarod Robie, Robbie Harrison, Jerry Babb, Ben Rowe, Johnny Clark, and Drew Sprague.

The drivers were introduced on the ice to the big motosports night crowd before the national anthem, and Ricky Craven, the driver of the #32 Tide Winston Cup car, dropped the ceremonial first puck. During the first intermission, Craven answered the challenge of a remote-controlled car race with a lucky fan.

PASS CARS AND STARS AT RACIN’ PREVIEW 2002 

An exceptional contingent of Pro All Stars Series drivers were on hand to meet and greet race fans at this years’ edition of Racin’ Preview, presented by D.N.K. Select Used Cars, at the Portland (ME) Expo on February 22^nd and 23^rd. In addition, fans got an up close look at Ben Rowe’s Hi Tech Insulation/Mechanical Services Monte Carlo, the sharp Ford Taurus of Mike Maietta Jr., 2001 Northern Race Tires Rookie of the Year Richie Dearborns’s Chadwick- BaRoss Monte Carlo, Andy Shaw’s new Matco Tools Monte Carlo and Henry Hudson’s Action Racing/Henry’s Concrete 1x.. Johnny Clark had his  D.N.K. Select Used Cars Monte Carlo on display, along with the Pro All Stars/D.N.K. Camaro pace car. Gary Smith made the trip from Bangor to display his Uncle Henry’s Chevrolet.

The Northeast Motorsports Expo at the Augusta Civic Center is the traditional pre-season kick off for motorsports in Maine, and a host of Pro All Stars Series drivers were on hand throughout the show to meet and greet race fans.  The Pro All Stars Series new pace car, courtesy of D.N.K. Select Used Cars, wase on display along with Ben Rowe’s Hi-Tech Insulation double zero and Johnny Clark’s potent #54.
